EggBred is a chef driven breakfast and brunch concept operating out of small footprint restaurants that close in the afternoon. Franchise fees start at $37,500 and territories are currently open across Orange County.
A brunch franchise is a licensed restaurant business built around the morning and early afternoon daypart, which typically means a service window that opens around seven in the morning and closes somewhere between two and three in the afternoon.
The category sits between the traditional breakfast diner and the fast casual lunch chain, and it has grown because guests stopped treating weekend brunch as an occasional indulgence and started treating an elevated breakfast as an ordinary weekday purchase.
EggBred is a chef driven concept from a founder who had already built and operated a successful restaurant brand before starting this one, which means the recipes were developed by someone who cooks rather than by a committee optimising for shelf life.
The business model behind this franchise was developed and refined across several years of running company restaurants, including through the pandemic, and the executive team behind it carries a combined forty years of industry experience.
Every item on the menu was designed to survive a delivery bag, which matters more each year as off premise volume keeps climbing. Franchisees can take third party delivery and catering demand without redesigning the kitchen or apologising for how the food arrives.
Whether you take a single restaurant or a multi unit development deal, you receive protected rights to a defined territory. That territory is the area surrounding the restaurant with a minimum population of 150,000 people, or a three mile radius, whichever is smaller. No other franchisee will be placed inside it.
Franchisees inherit the creative, the promotions and the campaign learnings that EggBred has already paid for, along with access to a founder network built over fifteen years in the industry. Local marketing support is provided alongside the brand level work.
EggBred calls its franchise process a matching process because the company wants both sides to determine whether the partnership is a fit.
Start with the inquiry form and an initial phone conversation.
Submit the in-depth application for preliminary review.
Discuss EggBred’s vision and core values with the team.
Review marketing, training, support, and ownership expectations.
Walk through the opening process, franchise fee, and startup costs.
Meet the team and take the next step toward a potential partnership.
EggBred’s local locations allow prospective franchisees to experience the concept firsthand. That means you can see the menu, atmosphere, and customer experience for yourself before deciding whether the franchise opportunity is a fit.

EggBred is awarding single unit and multi unit territories in all fifty states. Five markets are receiving concentrated development attention because of population growth, shopping centre availability and the strength of the daytime dining occasion in each.
The home market, with unallocated territory remaining across Southern and Northern California.
Open restaurants, active development and the largest number of unallocated territories in the system. See the Florida section above.
One of the strongest franchise environments in the country, with the suburban retail formats that suit a 900 to 1,500 square foot box.
Sustained migration into the Charlotte and Raleigh Durham corridors, with a daytime dining market that is not yet saturated.
Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga are growing quickly and the breakfast category there is still dominated by drive thru operators.
If your market is not listed, it is almost certainly available. Tell us where you want to operate and we will confirm whether the territory is open.
Every franchisee completes Franchisee Certification Training at EggBred headquarters before opening. The length of the programme moves as the training itinerary is updated, because the model keeps being refined and we would rather teach the current version than a fixed curriculum that has drifted out of date. The programme covers the kitchen, the operating systems, inventory, labour scheduling, guest experience and the financial management of a single restaurant.
We provide a minimum of fifty six hours of on site opening training to you and your opening team, delivered in your restaurant rather than in a classroom. That covers operations, procedures, inventory, product preparation and the grand opening itself, so the first week of trading is run alongside people who have opened EggBred restaurants before.
Franchisees have access to the full library of creative and promotional work the brand has developed, plus the founder’s industry network, plus ongoing support from the operations team once the restaurant is trading. The relationship does not end at the grand opening, because our revenue depends on your restaurant continuing to perform.
The initial franchise fee for a first restaurant is $37,500, and the total investment falls between $325,000 and $597,250 depending on the location, the buildout, the equipment package and the opening marketing spend. Under the area development programme the fee is $57,500 for two restaurants and $75,000 for three, with each restaurant beyond the third at $20,000.
The daypart has structural advantages: one kitchen shift rather than two, lower food cost against the ticket, high repeat frequency and no late night labour. Whether any individual restaurant performs depends on the site, the operator and the market, and we do not make claims about financial results outside our Franchise Disclosure Document. Item 19 of the FDD is where any financial performance information appears.
No. Previous franchise or restaurant experience is strongly preferred, but business ownership or meaningful leadership experience in another field can qualify a candidate. If you do not plan to operate the restaurant yourself, your operator does need restaurant operations knowledge. The certification training programme is built on the assumption that not every franchisee arrives from the industry.
Yes. Florida is a priority development market. EggBred is open in Fruit Cove in St. Johns County, Land O’ Lakes in Pasco County is in development and Tampa is taking applications. Territory is available across Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Orlando, Southwest Florida, South Florida and the Panhandle for both single unit and multi unit development.
Between 900 and 1,500 square feet. Roughly ninety percent of locations sit in retail shopping centres as endcap, freestanding or inline units, and about ten percent are downtown urban sites. The small footprint is deliberate, because it reduces both buildout cost and ongoing occupancy cost
Your protected territory is the area surrounding your restaurant with a minimum population of 150,000 people, or a three mile radius, whichever of the two is smaller. No other EggBred franchisee will be placed inside that area, whether you hold a single restaurant or a multi unit development agreement.
EggBred is a breakfast, brunch and lunch concept, so restaurants close in the afternoon rather than running into the evening. That single shift structure is the reason most of our franchisees chose the brand, because it removes the late night labour problem and it gets the owner home for dinner.
EggBred does not lend directly, but works with approved third party partners who provide SBA and conventional loans, 401(k) rollover funding, furniture, fixture and equipment leasing, and working capital. SBA lending generally requires a cash injection of between ten and thirty percent of the total project cost.
Yes. After final approval we activate our approved third party national real estate team, which runs the detailed site search, handles the financial negotiation and prepares your letter of intent. You then retain your own attorney to finalise the lease, because that document needs to be reviewed by someone acting solely for you.
Once your Request for Consideration is submitted, our executive team reviews your background and your local market and comes back with any questions. The full matching process runs across several calls and a Discovery Day, and how quickly it moves depends largely on how quickly candidates complete each stage.
Franchisees complete Franchisee Certification Training at EggBred headquarters, covering the kitchen, operating systems, inventory, labour, guest experience and restaurant financials. You then receive a minimum of fifty six hours of on site opening training in your own restaurant for you and your opening team, including the grand opening itself.
Not necessarily, and many candidates begin the process while still employed. Franchisees operate as owner operators, as co-owner teams sharing the day to day, or on a manage the manager basis with a qualified operator running the restaurant. The structure you choose is part of the conversation during the matching process.
Yes. Area development agreements are available and the fee structure rewards them, with two restaurants at $57,500, three at $75,000 and each additional restaurant at $20,000. The maximum number of restaurants under an agreement is negotiated and depends on the size and quality of the territory requested.
The concept has been performed in rural, medium, metro and major metro markets, and the guest base spans a broad demographic across ages, incomes and occupations. That range is one reason territory is available in all fifty states rather than only in dense urban markets.
Most of the category competes on speed and price with an assembled product. EggBred is chef driven, with proprietary protein blends, custom crafted English muffins, locally baked milk buns and everything made to order, in a smaller box with fewer operating hours. The difference is the food and the cost structure, in that order.
In practice they overlap heavily. Breakfast concepts often close by late morning and skew toward the grab and go occasion, while brunch concepts run further into the afternoon and carry a lunch menu alongside the morning one. EggBred sits in the second group, serving breakfast, lunch and dessert across a single daytime shift.
You will hear from our franchise development team to schedule an initial call. That first conversation is informational on both sides and carries no obligation. If it goes well, we send you the concept detail and the Request for Consideration, and the matching process starts from there.
